Not sure if this belongs in this section, but just thought I should inform the public about this dealership. This dealership is located across the street from the East Brunswick Mall.

DO NOT WORK HERE.

To make a long story short; they offer you "free training" which cost $500.00

After a so called 3 month probation period they agree to give you back your $500.00. So I asked them is their any way that I could NOT get my money back. They said only if you beat up a customer or do something crazy, but other than that your pretty guaranteed to get your money back.

After working 60+ hours every week for about 2 months. Getting paid $200.00 a week, yes 200.00 a week. I, along with 4-5 other guys. Were not allowed to sell cars for weeks because we were "still in training," and when I did try to sell a car, constant interruption would of course take place when we were not "following procedure."

The same procedures that NONE of the other salesmen had to follow.

2 months passed and out of no where, Keith, one of the managers tells me flat out. That I need to go back into training. I told him their is no way that I am paying another $500.00 dollars for training. He goes 500 dollars? What 500 dollars?

I said what do you mean WHAT 500 dollars?

Never saw that money again. Neither did anyone else that I worked with and one of the guys managed to stay at the place longer than 3 months; still no 500.

I think the place is being renovated or something now, but please be aware of this scam if you are ever heading to work their and pass the word.

**And if your thinking maybe I was a bad salesmen, wrong. It was almost impossible for me to sell cars with these guys over my shoulders 24/7 and having to follow all these procedure that did not benefit my sale. On top of that people with credit scores below 500 made it impossible to make a sale.

Hi:

I meant to ask you a few questions about this earlier but I was busy. You may have a lawsuit against the dealer for fraud, breach of contact as well as other legal violations. Can you tell me the following: (1) Did you sign any agreement when you agreed to work for them and go through training, (2) If a written agreement exists do you still have possession of it? (3) Do you have proof you paid them $500 – do you have a cancelled check? (4) What other verbal promises were made to you by the company?

Car dealers are some of the biggest crooks in the world and I have seen them brazenly violate the law on many occasions.

Yeap, I have a written out contract signed by them. No I didn’t cancel the check because of course they take your check before you start working for them. They made tons of BS promises. "Oh you are going to make this much money 'guaranteed.' etc etc etc" They also promised me that I would get my money back and their was no way of getting fired unless I did something crazy or totally irrational like hitting/cursing out a customer, which I never did at all.

This all took place during the summer time last year I believe. The day they fired me for no reason, I got on the Internet and made a few posts all over about this. Craigslist being a main site, I probably got over 15 emails from different people saying how the same exact thing had happen to them. One person said it was around 2001 when it happened!

I totally agree they are crooks. I hated working at that place, they lied to so many people about things they did not have to. They just love to feed off those not so car savvy people.

I love how we had a time sheet. I was working over 60 hours a week getting paid 200.00 a week. How is THIS even legal? People with horrible credit they are selling cars to. Half the people I had with horrible credit, they did not want to lower the monthly payments when I know they had room to do it. The place was a joke.

I tried calling and talking to the owner but he would never return my calls. I’m sure he knows exactly what is going on and of course he is a well respected man in Harlem, he owns the huge Saturn dealer ship over their. Mr. Throton is his name I believe.

Keith was the banker, total asshole. He was the prick who fired me and acted like he knew nothing of the $500.00.

I seriously do not have the time or the money to follow through with a lawsuit. I go to college, and work amongst other things including taking care of my mom who is disabled. So i really have no real time.
