Advertising a concert as sold out...

Is it fraud if a musical act advertises their shows as being sold out to create the impression of more demand, when the shows are in fact not sold out? Also, if the artist advertises the shows as being their only ones this year....and then adds more shows.....is this false advertising????

Well, if you were able to prove these facts, then yes, it is a fraudulant scheme. The problem is trying to prove these facts. I doubt you will get any member of the band or any of their associates to admit to such a scheme. And even if you could prove it & sue them, your damages would be very small and probably not worth your time to bring the lawsuit.
