My 20 year old nephew has a variety of ailments--bipolar disorder, ADHD, Tourettes Syndrome. He is on several mediacations and cannot hold a job. He has applied for Social Security disability and was told he did not work long enough to qualify. But isn't this the purpose? If one can't work, what are they to do?
Are there any avenues open to him? And what is Supplemental Security and can this apply in some way?
