I was involved in a little road rage incident today.

Should I follow up on charges or just let it go?

It started today when I picked up my kids from school. I came to a complete stop at the edge of the schools driveway. Once stopped I noticed to my left was a pick-up truck with a snow plow on it, he was a good distance up the road and I had plenty of room to come out. As I made my right turn onto the street he sped his vehicle up to the point that his snow plow was almost on my bumper. He then came up on my side and gave me the finger. In return I gave mine back to him. He then tried to run me off the road twice with the plow of his truck. He also got in front of me twice and slammed on the brakes. All the while he was not using a blinker and driving recklessly. He was a young kid and was in the truck with two other people.

I got his plate number and was thinking about reporting him to the police, is it worth the time?

Well, I have experienced similar things and as mad as I was at the time I eventually decided to forget about the sitution. One reason why is that if you take the schmuck to court, or report him to the police, he will find out your name and address. Then you have to worry about the schmuck seeking revenge on you in the future.

By the way Jimmy Buffet wrote a song about a situation just like yours: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3i6OrOZwtmA

I recently applied for a personized plate on my 68vette but was turned down because of a DWI charge which is considered a FELONY. I was driving slow and brought the attention to a passing squad car . As soon as I saw the flashing lights I pulled to the side of the road . There was no resistance, no property damage or accidents. I was "tuned" .

The question is - why am I considered a criminal as if I was carrying a loaded pistol or robbing a bank? Frankly, Ive seen many drivers on the roads that pose hazzards to the trafflic flow by cutting in and out of lanes just to get a car-length ahead. OK, so the cops can't get em all but it pisses me off.

Back to my question - is there a time limit when this record is expunged?
