i am a contractor who worked on multi family home, when the management/owner failed to pay me i put a mechanics lein on the property. now two years later i am being served paperwork from a lawyer putting me in a lawsuit. i am named at the very end. the owner, the wife teneants 1- 10 the state of nj and me.
the suit tells me i must pay 135.00 and state my case , failure to do so can hurt me.
my freinds tell me to drop the lein and call the plantiffs lawyer and hopefully he we put me off the lein.
i have 20 days to file with the court,what can happen to me.
ps the mechanics lein was for 1900.00
