Does anyone know what MSB means on a motion status note? I noticed that in the note field in a motion status online it was at the end of the note. EX: OPP FILED 10/14/09 B/PF.MSB

It could be the initials of the judge.

Not the judges iniitials. His initials would be something like PI.

I have another question. I am currently involved in a settlement conference and have to go back to court next week. The defense filed a motion to dismiss my case based upon the statute of limitations. If we don't settle then we have to have a lopez hearing. I don't like the current offer if it goes forth, but my lawyer is pushing me to settle. Here is the question. My lawyer keeps saying that he's worried about the judge because he threw out his case he spent a lot of time on and he also says the judge is conservative. We have a good case and excellent expert, but my lawyer seems hung up on this judge. Do you think I may be right by thinking that my lawyer wants to play it easy and take the money that is offered? Why does he keep saying he's worried about the judge? We shouldn't be worried about a judge, we should concern ourselves with the case is what I feel about it.
