We have just discovered that some very important legal documents have been taken from our house. We believe they were taken by another family member (while visiting) who has since taken legal action, based on the fact that we cannot locate these documents. If we wanted to report this to the police, so that they can go retrieve the documents. How sure, and what proof do we need to have to get a warrant to search a home...other than a judges approval?
