i'm staying at a hotel and paid thru july 19 but hotel manager called the police about noise

there was no noise when police arrived nevertheless the police said i better be gone by saturday-

lawyer said police have no authority to say be gone by saturday

do i have a leg to stand on?

Unless you are breaking the law the cops can't tell you to move. It is a landlord tenant matter not a criminal matter.
