You must have had a very serious case of sepsis to be in the hospital so long. As for the osteomyelitis, it is sometimes associated with sepsis but may be caused by unsterile needles or hospital practices. Did you have blood cultures done recently and if so were the positive? If they were positive what was the name of the organism?
There was a medical malpractice lawyer on WOR radio once a week, his name is Anthony Macri. He came across as very knowledgable. I dont know if he is still on the air. I would contact him at 973-989-4066 and he may be able to give you accurate guidance on your situation.

There was really so much more to this. I originally went in with a fever of 106.4. They had no idea what was wrong with me for days and days... They though it was my stomach because it was so badly swoolen from gasping air from the pain so they started telling my it was possibly Krohns, maybe something that would cause a colostomy bag, I mean just horrid details without even really knowing. They wouldnt let me eat for 22 days (I went in at 115.. I was then at 86 pounds).. I had abcesses on my gluteus max fold both sides so they inserted tubes into each hip to drain the infection.. I complained of extreme discomfort for 2 weeks before they listened to me (I said something was not right with the tubes).. They found the tubes came out of the spot and I believe at that pound touched my bone and caused this.. They did so much damage including NO physical therepy, I had such a severe case of atrphy they didnt even lift my arms NOTHING.. Did not brush my hair, I had dreads that had to be cut out after I got out..I mean There is jsut so much more that was done, or rather not done, like order antibiotics over the weekend but instead they let me go WITHOUT them beacause the doctor didnt have a fill listed so they didnt bother.. I finally got transferred out f there because they couldnt gt me better.. I was transferrred and that was when the other hospital diagnosed Osteo... I had 6 blood transfusions in 6 1/2 weeks at Chilton, and yet they starved me as well for 22 days.. HORRIBLE what they did to me...
