Motioning a drug test without a lawyer??

I have a custody hearing coming up at the end of Sept.. I want to make sure that my ex is attempting to clean himself up from drugs because he will have visitation. I do not want my children around that type of enviroment, hence one of the reason I left him. During our hearing, can I make a motion to have him tested? Can I do this prior to the hearing? If so, who do I contact. I do not have a lawyer and can not afford one.

Be polite and bring up the issue to the judge at the hearing. If you have proof of his drug problem you should present it to the judge. The judge will be obligated to take the evidence into consideration.
