Do rental agents have a legal right to turn me away for poor credit?

I am so tired of being turned away because of my credit. I cannot change my credit rating. I can only try and repair it. But I keep getting turned away. I always pay my rent. Isn't there some way I can fight this? I'm 55 and been turned away twice already for an affordable senior rental.

Just about the only thing a landlord can reject a prospective tenant for is the ability to pay rent and this includes a credit score. I would scrutinize your credit report to see if there is any inaccurate information. If you find inaccurate info then you may be able to sue the party the put that bad information on your credit report.

That's sucks then. I can't prove it to them unless they give me a chance. ill never get into a senior development.
