I've been injured in a motor vehicle accident. Which insurance policies will cover my costs?

It depends what costs you are talking about - property damage or personal injury? If you have a NJ Auto policy then you have PIP coverage which will provide coverage for personal injuries unless you opted to have your own personal medical insurance policy be the primary policy and PIP secondary. As to property damage it depends.

You statement is vague and you should provide more details. Were you in the vehicle when the accident occurred or were you pedestrian? If another driver was involved did he carry an insurance policy and was it a NJ policy? If not you may have to look towards your uninsured motorist insurance for coverage. Did the accident occur in NJ? Were you an employee on an errand for your employer when the accident occurred? If so you may have to seek coverage under your employers workers comp policy. But you may have a third party claim against the person who caused the accident. Provide more detail. Thanks

Oh, I almost forgot, most NJ auto policies require you to notify them within a certain time period, usually 48 hours, if an accident has occurred or you may be denied coverage altogether. So please contact your carrier asap so you don't waive any of your rights under the policy.
